Coming back home had been a shock to our systems. We had to leave our shorts behind and dress warmly and bring winter coats! And it only got colder while we were there.
The weekend before Christmas, we went to visit some friends who have built a retirement house in the mountains of West Virginia. While we were there, the temperature plummeted to 17 degrees, and we got an ice storm the first night! Needless to say, we stayed inside!
